National Princess Day
National Princess Day on November 18 encourages us to embrace our inner royalty, pamper ourselves and cherish the qualities that make us no less than princesses.
Whether through strength, kindness, grace, or confidence, the day gives as an opportunity to channel our favorite princesses and live in our own fairy tale moments.
National Princess Day reminds us of the inspiring traits that princesses represent, like courage, intelligence, and kindness.
Origin of National Princess Day
Whenever we think of princesses, Disney princesses come to the mind immediately. However, to our surprise, National Princess Day was not started by Disney. It was the Nest Family Entertainment who founded this day in 1994 to celebrate the release of The Swan Princess, their animated film.
This film introduced the audiences to Princess Odette and Nest Family Entertainment wanted to dedicate a day where everyone could celebrate like royalty. Hence, National Princess Day was created.
Celebrating National Princess Day
National Princess Day reminds us of the inspiring qualities of princesses like courage, resilience, intelligence, and kindness.
We grew looking up to animated princesses, and this day gives us a chance to acknowledge and anyone can be a princess.
You just need to possess certain qualities and spread joy, kindness or stand with confidence in the face of storms.
To celebrate National Princess Day, you can host a themed party and gather your family, friends, decorate like kids with crowns and castles.
Treat yourself to a relaxing day, whether it's a spa visit, shopping, or lounging in your favorite outfit. Enjoy a facial, manicure, or anything that makes you feel fabulous. You don’t need a crown to act like royalty—walk, talk, and sit like a princess, or embrace the strength of a warrior princess like Xena!
Real Life Princesses And Their Lasting Impact
Real-life princesses like Princess Diana and Princess Kate have left a lasting impact through their compassion, grace, and dedication to meaningful causes. Princess Diana, known as the “People's Princess, used her position to champion causes like AIDS awareness, landmine clearance, and homelessness. Her ability to connect with people from all walks of life, combined with her genuine empathy, earned her worldwide admiration. Diana’s humanitarian work and loving role as a mother reshaped the modern image of royalty, making her an icon of kindness and resilience.
Princess Kate, officially Catherine, Princess of Wales, continues this legacy with her poise, elegance, and commitment to charitable efforts. Since marrying Prince William in 2011, Kate has focused on causes such as mental health, early childhood development, and the arts. Her warm and approachable nature, along with her role as a mother of three, has endeared her to people globally. As a senior royal, she gracefully balances her family life with her responsibilities, becoming a modern role model for dedication and service.
