Red Nose Day (Comic Relief)
Red Nose Day will be next held on Friday, March 21, 2025. It will feature a live TV special on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 7 PM to 10 PM.
Exciting celebrity guests such as Davina McCall, Rylan Clark, Jonathan Ross, Alesha Dixon, Joel Dommett, and Alison Hammond and many more will host the event.
History of Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising event created by Comic Relief in 1985, co-founded by Richard Curtis and Sir Lenny Henry. It aims to support children and families facing hardship in the UK and beyond.
For nearly 40 years, Red Nose Day has raised over £1.6 billion, funding programs that improve education, provide shelter, and combat poverty worldwide.
More than just a day to wear a red nose, it’s a global movement that turns laughter into life-changing support for those in need. Originally launched in the UK, the event quickly gained international recognition. In Germany, Red Nose Day began in 2003 through ProSieben, inspiring people to "do something funny for money."

Special Events for Red Nose Day 2025
- Gladiators vs. Chabuddy G: Comedy character Chabuddy G thinks he’s joining the Gladiators but ends up facing off against Bionic in a hilarious showdown.
- Celebrity Challenges: Jamie Laing will run over 150 miles from London to Salford in five days, Billy Monger will make history as the youngest double leg amputee to complete the Iron Man World Championship, and Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton will take on a 24-hour roller disco with surprise guests.
- Red Nose Designs for 2025: To celebrate 40 years of Comic Relief, the 2025 Red Nose collection features new and classic designs, including the exclusive Cupcake Nose available only in multipacks and the rare Ruby Nose with a 1 in 125 chance of finding one, all made from plant-based, fully recyclable materials.
- Blue Peter To Red Peter: A special Red Nose Day episode will feature an exciting underground go-kart challenge with Billy Monger, a heartwarming surprise visit to honor young fundraisers, and a live performance with a record-breaking attempt.
